I love Strasbourg

We spent a wonderful week discovering all of Prague from the historical center to the grocery stores and villages located in outskirts. We are staying one week with my Inlaws in Strasbourg before returning home to Switzerland.
Saturday, we fought the crowds in the Grande Braderie de Strasbourg to exchange some of our Swiss francs [...]

Our bank gave each one of our children one of these crayon boxes with some crayons inside.

The little things in life

It is the little things in life that matter the most.
I have found two wonderful women in the last few months that have changed the way I feel about my life in our little village. Because of the contact I now have with two Franco-American families I am socially happier here in the Jura. [...]

Crazy week

I have been cleaning and washing in preparation for our trip to Prague to stay with family there and then to Strasbourg to spend more time with my Inlaws.
The sun has come back and we are spending time outside in between all the preparation. I know I should not stress about it all but [...]

My girls are ready for gym class at their Swiss school

I searched Etsy.com for gym bags for my girls. They need bags to put their gym shoes and clothes in. They are required to change for gym to teach them to dress themselves. However, my girls have been dressing themselves since three! Matching is a whole other matter…

Walk before dinner

The view of our mountains is what helps to keep me calm during times like this.
As does your support.
Thank you, my friends, for your kindness these past few days. I wasn’t alone because of your words and your thoughts. I was stronger because of your support.
It was very hard [...]

Soldes (Sales) in Bienne - Biel

We had the great chance to find out that each year Bienne has a huge sale held in the streets on the last weekend of June. Most of the stores in the city set up racks in front of their shop selling items for close to nothing.
We purchased sandals, a skirt and two shirts [...]

Pied d’Or in the Jura

It is easy to see why this area is called Pied d’Or which means Golden Foot in English.
How about taking a walk with me? All that is missing from the photos are the smell of the grass and the sun and the sound of insects buzzing by.
