It’s Ironic how I think, it’s so different..

I definitely miss different things. The price of shopping, less rain and my friends… That is it really.. Everything else in Switzerland and Canada is better for me.. Back where I was from, will always be just that, where I was…

I am so sorry you feel homesick, it must be hard for you to be so far away…
This time of the year in the US is so nice especially the holiday season, it’s the decorations, the spirit of the holidays, the family dinner, it’s warm and cosy…

Pardon My French,
You know I thought the homesickness at this time of year would pass over time. Now I am not so sure. :)
I, too, would like to take my kids once more to the States for a visit when they are a little older so that they will remember it all. Perhaps, when my kids are teens they can stay with their grandparents for a summer?

It’s the same for me! Autumn is my favorite time of the year and Thanksgiving my favorite holiday. Plus I always loved the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall, so it’s difficult not to be able to share that with my daughter. Someday, though!! I feel that France is my home and I’m comfortable here, but I’ll always be a little homesick around this time of year.
