Ena, I see where you are coming from but I would be embarrased to read my ex husband or his wifes blog even if it was a blog about gardening. I would feel like I was standing in front of their house spying through the windows. But, that is me.

I guess they have problems and you don't have to worry about bowing down to their low levels, just like the lady in your apartment building... Haha I guess they're a bit jealous of your life. ;-)

I got the point of the post, but I must disagree on that. I think blogging is different than keeping a diary. It's more like a publishing a book and make available it for everyone to read (Unless the post saved as private, then visitors won't see it anyway). After all, we blog to be read. What you mention is more like a side-effect, an annoying one.

Julie,
I decided a long time ago that I would only blog about a topic if it was something that I would say to that person's face.

I don't understand how people that 'know' they shouldn't be reading another person's blog (like an ex or their spouse) can continue to do so.

I know that a blog is online and public but I believe that there are invisible lines that should not be crossed and as adults these people should respect privacy.

I have thought about stopping my blog but then they would win. Like my mother told me...I must be a good blogger because they keep coming back. ;)

Keep blogging about things that you are comfortable sharing with everyone even your parents or your enemies. If you aren't then blog about that topic on a private blog because 'secret' blogs can be found. Easily.

Sometimes I feel the exact same way. I'm just about afraid to blog at all.
