Thank you for the link and ideas. My kids do travel for free which is awesome.

I am finding that it is a little easier to be an expat in larger cities than in a small village. Everyone is very kind here but it is not the same as living in Strasbourg where it is more international. We do have many people from other countries in our village yet it is still not the same.
Perhaps, it is because they are not English speaking?
I have read about groups in Switzerland for English speaking expats. I think my kids would enjoy playing with English speaking kids and it would help me if I find other Americans. I am starting to get homesick since my favorite season back home is soon beginning...fall. :)

Pumpkin - I just made the cobbler and it's wonderful. Thanks for the great recipe!

I highly encourage you try to meet a few more expats if you can. I think it can help with your sanity. There are many that live around the town of Biel/Bienne. You also can catch some great movies in that town if you ever can get there. Ever see a movie yet in Europe? It's different!

Do you also know that you can get discount transportation tickets. Also http://www.sbb.ch is in English and is very helpful. They have travel deals to certain cities all of the time. I'm guessing the munchkins are very cheap or free still which could possibly work on weekends!

Please do check out my Swiss blog roll as you might find a few people whom are bloggers that you can meet.

It is simple but good! I read Mausi's blog. She is a great blogger and from her posts I think she must be a nice person as well.

I would like to start meeting more bloggers. I missed an opportunity to meet Alison at alithinks.com last year and have regreted it since.

It's ironic that I see this now. I just got back from swimming and wanted to show my husband who is now up about your very cool blog. And he get's this email from his french friend with a Blueberry Cobbler recipe also. We like yours better because it has less flourine ;-) in it...

I'm guessing I'll be baking this by tomorrow! If you are inspired by cooking, you should visit Mausi's site (http://justcallmemausi.blogspot.com) I've met her in person and she's a great cook!
