08.30.07Language learning with bilingual childrenI was thinking the other day about how our children are completely bilingual. I am not including Angel in this post because she isn't near to being bilingual. She knows some French words but hasn't had enough time in a French speaking environment to become fluent. The girls are able to effortlessly switch between French and English. They speak together mostly in French but I have heard them speaking together in English more lately. 08.17.07Broken with lovePetite Clown tumbles out of bed with tears in her eyes. She comes to me and tugs at my pants. She can barely speak. In a hushed voice she tells me, "Mama, my baby's head is broken." She sleeps every night with this doll. It is her baby. 07.23.07Monday equals laundryHeaps and heaps of it. To be exact a weeks worth of laundry with three accident prone (I admit it is from my genes) kids. I am looking at eight loads of fun. In Switzerland, apartment dwellers must abide by a laundry schedule. Each tenent in my building has half a day one day a week to get all their laundry done. 07.19.07Angel GirlShe is not a baby any longer. She is a beautiful young lady. It amazes me that my daughter is getting almost as tall as I am. In a couple years, I will have to look up instead of down to see her sweet face. I am proud and sad all at the same time when I see how big she is getting. All those little bits of time and memories together become more and more precious as she gets older and older.

04.27.07Picky pickingWe were shopping at Auchan for some things. There is a pet-shop located in the shopping center of this particular Auchan. We often stop and watch the fish and bunnies on the way out to the parking lot. The kids adore the animals. Sweet Bear and Petite Clown were laughing and pointing at the rabbits which were pressing their twitching noses against the glass.
