"You have no privacy and everyone can see your feet!" I must agree with him. American public restroom stalls do not allow for any privacy while you are doing what I consider a very private matter. 11.05.05Don’t feed the Jacques-O-Lantern!Someone in our building fed shiny paper to our family pumpkin! Jacques-O-Lantern seems to like it by the happy grin on his face. Another funny thing about Jacques-O-Lanterns is that when they are old instead of growing gray and white hair on top of their heads. They grow it inside their head. 11.03.05Karlsruhe, GermanyKarlsruhe, Germany has a nice palace with a huge park behind it. My two daughters loved the ducks the best. Ducks understand french-english very well, especially when the ducks see food. There were people everywhere lounging around the grounds of the palace or riding bikes or walking peacefully enjoying the sun. We unfortunately got a late start in the day and did not have time to really see much of the city. What I did see was nice. The palace is impressive. 10.21.05Our Family Pumpkin!This is the pumpkin that we bought on the side of the street in a small village. My husband and I pulled three children out of the car and crossed a busy street to pick out our first French family pumpkin. Sweet Bear said, "This one." And, this is the one we got. She is a good pumpkin picker I think! 10.17.05I have not seen this in a long, long time!Grocery store 9 Originally uploaded by soccerriotcasualty. An entire row of milk in gallon jugs just like I saw at least once a week most of my life. That was before I moved to France. Can you imagine that I am excited about seeing such a picture? In France milk usually comes in one liter cartons and it does not need to be kept in the fridge until it is opened. The cartons take up less space and the fact that you can buy several at one time without worrying that it will sour is very practical. I am not sure why ...
