03.15.07GermsI know what I cleaned off of my window sills at our old apartment. So, I don't understand why someone would hang their blankets out to air while at the same time getting bird doo germs all over them. There is no way I will ever do that no matter if I live in France for fifty years. My husband tells me all the time that I worry too much about germs. Fine. In this case I will continue to be a paranoid American.

Château de Wangenbourg Waterfalls of Nideck just under the Château du Nideck near Wangenbourg (we didn't visit this castle). We had driven all the way from Ohio for this interview. I didn't get the French citizenship because my French wasn't good. I, also, didn't answer this question well. 02.21.07Mardi gras (Fat Tuesday)Picture was taken at the maternelle where my girls go. Petite Clown almost always closes her eyes when her picture is taken. Yesterday, we walked into the girls schoolyard surrounded by princesses, Spiderman, a magician and many other superheros and ghouls. 02.20.07Cultural differences in parentingMy son has started speaking French! He has said lait (milk), oh la la (very important), and oui (yes). He hasn't started to say no in English or French like the girls did. No was pretty much one of the very first words that the girls said. It is still one of their favorite words unfortunately.
