11.06.07Snow and mistI woke up and went to the bedroom window to open the shutters. I stood for a moment watching a women walking her dog in the rain. A half hour later my mother called me as I was sitting down at the kitchen table with my coffee. Talking with her I glanced out the window to see snow flurries slowly dancing down from the sky. 11.03.07Berne (Bern), Switzerland photosWe took the train to Bern on Thursday. We felt the need to get out of the village. Since it was a holiday in the Jura, Vilay didn't work. 10.21.07All a bunch of clownsWe were in La Chaux-de-fonds this Saturday. On our walk from the train station to the Carrefour we passed these signs. A poster of Christoph Blocher, current Swiss Minister of Justice, and member of UDC party (Swiss People's Party). Someone has spray painted a red clown nose and Hitler black mustache with a swastika by his tie and FACHO written over the Swiss flag. 10.14.07Weekend photos…I took this photo the other morning. After I had rolled up the shutter in the girls room, I was greeted by a beautifully criss-crossed sky. 10.02.07A hand full of changeBelieve it or not I have thirty two Swiss francs and some odd change in my hands. It doesn't look like much when it is all in coins. However, it is. As an American living in Europe, I must constantly remind myself that those coins are not small change to be casually tossed into the deepest regions of my purse. The largest coins shown in the image above are worth five Swiss francs (currently around 4.25 in US dollars and 3 Euro)!
