We set out to discover new corners of the capital of Switzerland that we haven't explored before. Today, I would like to share some of the nature photos that I took. 08.24.08School is the topsMy girls each made a top at school during their first week there. The past week my five year old went in the mornings and my four year old went in the afternoons. Starting Monday, they will be on their regular schedule but only starting gym class the following week. Apparently, my five year old will go to gym twice a week. One day with her sister and another night with the kids in her group and the children a year older than her that are now going to the elementary school. The girls are excited to go to ...

08.20.08Cookie kind of dayWe had been having some rain. So, I decided it was a cookie kind of day. I used a Chocolate Chip cookie recipe I found online to make a rainy day a little bit brighter. It worked! Tip: We didn't have chocolate chips so I just chopped a bar of baking chocolate into small chunks. Cookie dough ready for the oven! The girls helped me spoon out the dough. It was fun and took a long time for them to complete one cookie sheet which was the whole point of the project (killing time on a rainy day). [caption ...

08.19.08ThingsSmall Swiss cowbell we bought from a vendor set up outside the Marché Concours in Saignelegier. Cup and saucer given to us by my husband's aunt and uncle in Prague. These cat decorations are seen all over Prague. I love the whimsical feeling and the bright spring colors. Saucer alone. Cup alone. We moved into our apartment with close to nothing. After a year, we have started to accumulate more things. Things that mean something to us. Things that reflect who we are and where we have been. 08.17.08Le Creux-des-Biches to Les BoisSaturday, we took a walk from Le Creux-des-Biches to Les Bois. It was one of the most beautiful walks we have taken yet. 08.15.08Taste of summerSome of the places we have been the last week weeks have been Neuchâtel with my In-laws, Bern to get my notarized authorization for a replacement passport for my oldest daughter (we went to the American Embassy) and a few other places shown below and others that are not.
