08.05.08Week in Prague - Part IAfter crossing the border from Germany into the Czech Republic I was surprised to see huge billboard ads on the side of the road. It reminded me of the States. In France, Germany and Switzerland I have never seen these type of billboards on the sides of the highways. Not only were there ads on the sides of the highway but above bridges crossing the highway. 08.04.08Walking around a village in AlsaceAlsace is beautiful. Here are some photos I took from a walk around my Inlaws village which is located near Strasbourg. Click to view larger. Flowers cover Alsace. Click to view larger. There is always a field nearby. Click to view larger. I had forgotten how much the French love their dogs. Dogs are everywhere! The food and coffee were good and the restrooms were free which is a HUGE deal in Prague. We have to find the name of the café so that I can refer others there. I did find out the hard way that you must let Czech coffee sit until all the coffee grounds settle to the bottom of the cup. :) We made ...

07.28.08I love StrasbourgWe spent a wonderful week discovering all of Prague from the historical center to the grocery stores and villages located in outskirts. We are staying one week with my Inlaws in Strasbourg before returning home to Switzerland. Saturday, we fought the crowds in the Grande Braderie de Strasbourg to exchange some of our Swiss francs into Euros. We were surprised that one of the employees still recognized us after over a year of not seeing us. She was always super nice with me even when I couldn't speak French at all.
