The couple in the photo were quietly sitting while they ate and drank wine together with an incredible view spread out in front of them. It was so romantic. Just like out of a movie. We saw many people sitting together or alone watching the boats and taking in the sun. The birds seemed to be enjoying the beautiful weather as well. There were birds everywhere. 02.05.08Beauty sleepThe Baitchai didn't keep me up all night. I heard them begin at 10 p.m. sharp. I went to bed soon after. I wasn't woken up until at around 5:30 a.m. as they walked down our street. I have to clear up the fact that even if the word Baitchai means the sound of a cracked bell or broken dishes they sound more like sharp flutes and drums. 02.02.08My Swiss Jura under the snowIt is magical. We don't have a car and take the train when we need things we can't buy in our village. Today was one of those days. It isn't hard to love taking the train and the view that goes along with it. We have Internet, a new memory card for one of the cameras and lots of catching up to do. I feel like I am connected to the world again after a long hibernation.

The weather was warmer than it had been all week which didn't help our restless mood. The tram in Bern. The Swiss Alps are all the way in the back. 10.14.07Weekend photos…I took this photo the other morning. After I had rolled up the shutter in the girls room, I was greeted by a beautifully criss-crossed sky.
