Day before Christmas

We had homemade pancakes covered in maple syrup for breakfast this Christmas morning.

Angel mixed the batter and I cooked them on the stove.  The pancakes were delicious.

Below are some photos I took yesterday during our walk.

The sky was an incredible blue against the white snow.

Merry Christmas everyone!

    I envy your snow!
It has melted down here :-(
I should move near you, I only love winter with snow!
Do you have snow all winter long?
Merry xmas to you and your family!

You can have our snow- we have about 2 feet on the ground- and the temperature was one below zero- Farenheit this morning. Most of the past week we have had highs of 2 or 3 with the windchill in the negative 20s. You know it’s cold when the school bus doors won’t open when they get to our stop. We’ll send that Northern Illinois snow down to Tennesee for you to have when you get home!

    Sissi,
We have snow on and off for six to seven months and I don’t mind. However, I will admit that I was happy to see spring last year after hunting for Easter eggs in snow up to my knees.

I would love if you guys lived nearer to us but I am being selfish! :)

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Anne,
Angel would love to have snow in Tennessee. She was so happy to see all of our snow since she lived with us in Ohio for most of her childhood.
    Merry Christmas!

These are great! I don’t mind the snow so much when there is weather similar to this (we have 2 ft on the group and counting…). When the sky is that brilliant it seems to make the cold a bit more tolerable. I especially like the one of the train; the reflection is great!

Oh I love this blue sky also! I think Victoria looked a bit like the Jura and North Van had entirely too much snow, much like when it snowed for a few days about a month ago in the Jura..

    LOVE the pics!

    Unbalanced Reaction,
I agree with you about the sky. We had grey skies for almost a week straight which is unual here. I started getting depressed about it but now we have our big blue skies back! The train photo was a favorite of mine too. I was surprised how clear the reflection was when I pulled it up on the computer.

    Expatraveler,
It can be hard with a lot of snow. It takes three times as long to go anywhere by foot with my kids. They can not stay out of it.
