Daytrip to Neuchâtel, Switzerland

by Pumpkin on April 27, 2008

It was a warm day in the mountains, but not warm enough. So, we took the train to Neuchâtel where we knew it would be more to our liking.

It always surprises me how much warmer it is once we get out of the mountains.

In Neuchâtel, there were leaves on the trees! LEAVES! Vilay and I were all excited about seeing leaves on trees for the first time this spring.

Bright flowers covered the city.

We ate Italian ice cream, walked along the lake, watched the kids play in a park and browsed through a small market near the lake. It was a perfect Saturday.

I love Neuchâtel. It is one of our favorite cities to visit.

The photos below are only a small window into Neuchâtel.

Oh those photos of that blue sky look incredible! I think every large city in Switzerland has something special about it, and that is what is so very cool!

Looks like you guys know how to enjoy the day just like everyone else too.. (I find it so funny that everyone is outside when it’s nice out!)

I love the first picture, it could be taken from the movie The Truman show where everything seems perfect and so colorful.
