Facebook addiction

by Pumpkin on January 30, 2009

Look at that face!!!

Last year, I tried out Facebook. I didn’t get it and thought it was silly.

Now, I realize the problem was that many of the people I wanted to connect with weren’t on Facebook. I only found less than five people I knew.

I recently reopened my Facebook account because someone I know told me they use it.  It would be an easy way to keep in touch.

Oh my…

It is addictive!

Over the past few weeks, I have reconnected with my old high school friends, family and some others I thought had fallen through the cracks of time.

When I first tried out Facebook most of these people weren’t even on it. I can’t wait to see who else I can find or re-find on Facebook the longer I use it.

Did I already tell you how addictive it is? :)

There’s a reason some folks call it Facecrack. Or Crackbook. ;-)

I definitely call it facecrack. All the time. It’s a good thing I don’t have a fancy internet phone, because leaving the house is the only thing that keeps me off that damn page.

It’s totally addicting. You’re right. And it’s really cool now that so many of my long-lost friends are on there.

Yes, it’s addictive ; to find some old friends is great. But what else ? Vacuum ex nihilo

I connected some weeks ago, my brother told me I should be a little modern :o), but I guess I will disconnect soon, even though I know many people on it. In french, we also say “fesse-book”.

Have a great time, I know you won’t be so addictive than with your family !

I still don’t get it and don’t like it and still find it a bit silly, I’d rather send an email or write on my blog as an outlet to connect with people.
But without facebook and yourself, I would have never known about the dog race.
You’re one of the few people I “speak” the most with.

I have received so many invites to Facebook…and have resisted all of them. I just can’t get that excited about it. I enjoy blogging, but that’s about all I want out in the sphere of the internet.

I have a friend who has pressured me to join. I fluctuate between thinking it is a great way to locate those people you have not seen for years, and wondering why I want to talk to people I haven’t talked to for years.

Maybe I’ll see you there :)
