The kids loved our flower inspired potato salad.
I hung our American flag up as soon as I got up this morning. Afterwards, the children and I placed our hands over our hearts and said the pledge of allegiance.
I love a flag whipping in the wind. There is something so inspirational about it. I guess that is the whole point, huh?
Our Fourth of July lunch table was set carefully by two girls. Mama only helped a little.
We had homemade hamburgers which are nothing like McDonalds. And, no Americans do not eat them every day. ;)

For desert, we ate cake with whipped cream and strawberries on top.
Vilay comes home for lunch every Friday. He was beside himself in happiness as he ate our Fourth of July lunch. He told me he didn’t have room for the cake but after he saw me serving the children he went ahead and asked for a piece. Five minutes later he asked for another piece. :)
As usual, I miss my family back home on holidays such as this.
Happy Fourth of July to all you Americans out there reading this!!!
