The kids loved our flower inspired potato salad.

I hung our American flag up as soon as I got up this morning. Afterwards, the children and I placed our hands over our hearts and said the pledge of allegiance.

I love a flag whipping in the wind. There is something so inspirational about it. I guess that is the whole point, huh?

Our Fourth of July lunch table was set carefully by two girls. Mama only helped a little.

We had homemade hamburgers which are nothing like McDonalds. And, no Americans do not eat them every day. ;)

For desert, we ate cake with whipped cream and strawberries on top.

Vilay comes home for lunch every Friday. He was beside himself in happiness as he ate our Fourth of July lunch. He told me he didn’t have room for the cake but after he saw me serving the children he went ahead and asked for a piece. Five minutes later he asked for another piece. :)

As usual, I miss my family back home on holidays such as this.

Happy Fourth of July to all you Americans out there reading this!!!

And a Happy 4th to you and yours.

It looks like you had great weather today. Ours is going to be a washout, it appears. First time in years that we have had rain on the 4th.

We have had great weather today and the girls have played outside all day. I hope the weather improves and you can spend a Happy 4th together. I miss the fireworks on the 4th the most.

Happy 4th! I love your menu for your dinner celebration. This evening I will be eating BBQ until I can waddle off to watch fireworks LOL.

Have a wonderful, fabulous time with all four of your babies under your roof :-)I’m thrilled for you!

    I love BBQ. Happy 4th!

    Happy 4th!
Hey, nothing wrong with McDonalds. :) I just prefer homemade burgers when I make them. Honestly, I make them less than a dozen times a year. We eat McDonalds more even if I hate to admit it. :)

Happy July 4th! Looks like rain. Don’t know if there will be fireworks or not. Love your dinner lol. It’s what I would have made . Love your flag, too.

I can tell you are a little homesick. I miss and love you all too . Wish you all were here . Loved Sweet Bear’s bumble bee. It’s so sweet and looks like her. Kisses to all, Mom

Happy 4th of July. We had a picture perfect day but cool (74). I marched in 2 parades back to back with my band and then we went to a friends for a pool party with – yummm- fried chicken. Only get that once a year. You should have seen everyone’s American flags out yesterday- and waving. And the parades were great. I saw so much patriotism and so many people were decked out in red, white and blue clothes. And so many cute girl dresses with a red/white/blue theme. It was nice to see your picnic. I wish you could have found some baked beans, too- but since my friend in France can’t find them, I assume you can’t either.
