From La Ferrière, Switzerland to Renan, Switzerland

Sunday, we walked from La Ferrière to Renan.  We went over the mountain and took a short cut through the forest over Renan.  I will share the photos from the forest and the city of Renan tomorrow.

This photo was taken just outside of La Ferrière. I saw right away that this was going to be a beautiful and relaxing walk. I was right.

We passed by this old farm with sheep and horses grazing just near the house. Only the sheep are shown in this photo. There were people grilling outside and talking. It looked like heaven on earth.

Crocus flowers (one of my favorite) growing wild in a meadow.

You can see the church we passed that sits above La Ferrière in the back.

This is what laid in front of us. Vilay saw a deer at the end of the road shown here.

Another shot of La Ferrière. There is still some snow still hanging on. But, not much.

We were happy to see the horses. We miss the sight of horses and cows on the mountain.

The horses were a little shy and wouldn’t let us pet them. That didn’t stop them from walking along the fence with us until they couldn’t follow.

Cows grazing on the mountain. The view was…Well, you can see that it was perfect.

I love the feeling that we are walking on top of the world.

Tomorrow, I will share the rest of the photos with you.
I promise.

I hope that all of you are having a good start to your week.
We sure are.
