Geneva (Part 2)

Here are the rest of the Geneva photos from this past Sunday.

I think my youngest daughter is just starting to get over the flu. She has been out of school since last Wednesday.  She did go yesterday but this morning she was back to being pretty miserable.  My son has a terrible cold but so far he only has that. I am exhausted and miss sleeping through the night. Yet, I  have already finished redoing my entire resume top to bottom and sent it off for a position.  I hope to start sending out resumes all over Switzerland until I find a job because I have got to work.  If I don’t find something soon I am really worried since I am getting “older” and in Europe it can be hard once you start pushing forty-five.  I’ll be forty this July.

I am sure a job will come up for you soon :-) I would have no hope at all, way over your age!!!

I love the one with a lot of flags and the last with the view! :-)
I’m doing a 2 day workshop on CV’s right now. Some good info. I’ve gotta email you a few hints!

    Anne,
I don’t like the whole age thing. I really don’t think it makes sense and it is so unfair. When I was a manager, I prefered my older workers to the ones straight out of college. The work ethic just wasn’t there in the younger employees.

    Expatraveler,
I need any tips I can get! lol I hate writing CV’s!!!!!

I wish you’ll bu lucky by the summer ! I read your blog since months and really think you deserve it… The age isn’t unimportant, by the way and unfortunately, but it is just one criteria.

I also have to send resumes, although I have a job. I just can’t bear what it has become like… Like expatraveler, I’m attending kind of a workshop (actually rather a “bilan de compétences”) to know what I can really do and what I do like.

You’ll turn forty in July ? I’ll turn forty two then, and it’s a wonderful time :o)

    Frédérique,
I wish you all the luck in your search and think that this workshop is a great idea. I agree that forty is a wonderful time. I find that I feel so much more secure and sure about who I am as a person and as a woman. :)
