Half-timbered houses line the streets of Strasbourg particularly in La Petite France where there are several of these houses grouped together just near the water. It’s relaxing to sit in the shade of a large tree and soak in the medieval surroundings.
If you are visiting Strasbourg you can take a “Bateau-mouche” to see the city by water. Tours are available all year long. It is not uncommon for my children to wave at a boat full of visiters as we are strolling through Strasbourg on foot.
