I received my Official Statement of Status of Eligibility from the State of Florida Department of Education today. It does state that I am not eligible for a Florida Educator’s Temporary Certificate at this time. All my coursework from Antioch was before July 1, 2002. Florida will only accept coursework dated after that date. So, I must take 30 semester hours in elementary education or have a passing score on the Elementary Education subject area examination. I am going to take the test.
I will be eligible for the 5 year professional certificate once I have completed two more tests.
I am happy about knowing what is required for the 5 year professional certificate upfront.
Vilay and I were in a dark period during the last week. Now, we both seem to be in higher spirits.
I only worked 5 hours today and am off until Tuesday. I am excited about spending some time with my husband and kids. I miss them.
