Here kitty, kitty

We visited Yellow Springs today. Yellow Springs is one of our favorite cities around here to hang out. While walking around the town we encountered many cats in the streets and in the shops. After Sweet Bear had carried a very gentle black cat all around a used bookshop for at least half an hour, she told me that she wanted a cat.

I told her she could have a cat when we had a house with a yard. We really just don’t want any animals in the house. With four kids running around that is all the house zoo we can handle. She told me ok. She would wait. IF she could get a pink cat. I smiled and told her that there was no such thing as a pink cat. Fine…she will settle for a red one. :)

I read Vilay’s entry about Yellow Springs. It seems like a really cool place!

It is a city in the middle of corn fields and is kinda like a hip hippy town. Antioch college is located in Yellow Springs. I got my teaching certification through the McGregor school of Antioch. It is a very good college. I was told that the first women and blacks to attend college were at Antioch University. You will find many free thinkers there. I told Vilay if for any reason we cannot move to Florida right away…I want to move there. Otherwise, I will go crazy with all the conservative people that currently surround us. :)

    So you’re a stoner, eh?
It is a nice little town. But little.

I don’t really see where my liking Yellow Springs means that I am a stoner…but, whatever.

It is little but it is very nice. Have you been to Clifton Gorge?…just beautiful. My kids had a blast at Young’s Jersey Dairy Farm. There are bike trails all around that we have enjoyed. It is a nice town to raise a kids in. We like the quiet. Plus…bigger cities are not so far…15 minutes away tops. :)
