How my cat turned into a kitty porn star

Emmie Cat

Our cat is in heat…Since Sunday.

I am exhausted.

She starts at four in the morning with her cat calls and kitty porn star behavior.

In order to get her to stop howling I have to pet her which only excites her more (very disturbing) or throw her out on the balcony with the shutter closed so she can’t get out (obviously my preference).

She is ready to perform at FOUR in the MORNING and will not stop howling until EVERYONE is awake to watch.   Thankfully, our balcony has a metal shutter that keeps her moaning from being carried all over the village.

She acts like she has taken an entire bottle a house full of the most powerful aphrodisiac ever made.

If I barely look at her she will start her love dance. Ever seen a cat in heat? Well, if you have you know what I am talking about.

If you haven’t seen a cat do the love dance stoked with the power of heat…You don’t want to.

Believe me.

My sweet adorable kitty has turned into a little tart. She, also, doesn’t seem to understand that a female human (me) can’t extinguish her primitive needs. I am apparently her first choice to roll around the floor in front of, rub against, to show her goods to, and all kinds of interesting cat slut behavior I never could have imagined.

Lucky me.
NOT!

We went to a vet to get her a pill to stop the heat. She took her third pill this morning after waking me up at four in the morning with her meows bordering on howls. Currently, she is on the balcony cooling off.

We are going to get her spayed as soon as possible which is as soon as she is out of heat. It is high risk to do it while a cat is in heat or I would have had it done on Monday!

Why didn’t we get her spayed before now?

Because we are idiots!!!

Idiots that thought it wouldn’t be such a big deal to have a cat in heat. Boy are we (the big humongous idiots currently trying to survive living with a kitty porn star) sorry.

Seriously, having a cat in heat is such a miserable experience not only for us, the owners, but for the cat.   On top of the fact that a cat in heat is almost impossible to live with there can be medical problems the cat can have due to not being spayed.

I had no clue until I asked Google why my cat was undressing me with her eyes instead of demanding to be fed like she usually does.

If you have a cat and are wondering about getting it spayed.
Don’t wonder…Go get your cat spayed preferably before she ever goes into heat.

Save yourself and your cat from a very PAINFUL and TIRING experience.

That is so funny- well, not really, but your description of it is really funny! I really do feel bad for you. Just enjoy your cat, even as a short time kitty porn star. We had to put our beloved Finnegan to sleep in May (lymphoma) (I sent you his pictures last December or January) and we are devastated. But in October, I’ll get a new kitten for my birthday. We already have our new little cat named- Minou. We can’t wait. And yes, neutering will be done as soon as possible. But still, your description of Emmie is just hysterical!!! Did you grow cat nip for her in the garden? Maybe try some of that.

She definitely has that come hither look! I know exactly what you’re going through and as painful as it is for us, it is more painful for them. I spay/neuter my cats as soon as I can before their first heat experience. Once you get her spayed, she’ll be fine and she’ll also gain weight! Oh, yes, she will!

I am hoping that those pills start kicking in tonight and she doesn’t wake me up a 4 a.m. again. I do feel so bad for her because I can see she has no control over herself. She is completely at the mercy of her hormones. I can’t wait to have her back to her old self.

    Anne,

Minou is an adorable name. What a perfect gift. I love kittens.

Finnegan was my birthday gift 10 years ago, too. As you said- the perfect gift. I enjoyed that cat every single day that I had him. Such a wonderful cat.

I am laughing…with you, not at you…yeah, one cat in heat experience is enough…been there, done that…subsequent kitties in my life were hauled off to the vet by 4 months of age :-)

I am happy to report that my Emmie Cat has returned to her usually self.

    Expatraveler,
I wouldn’t mind letting her have a litter but I don’t think the kittens would survive all the lovin’ my kids would give them! :)
