I am in love with French rooftops and windows framed with real shutters. A calm will come over me as I gaze out the windows of my apartment following the red and brown roofs and stopping suddenly at a window beyond the green of swaying tree leaves. A window framed by white or brown shutters with white lace curtains hung inside.
It has just begun to rain. The rain makes the roofs deeper in color. I can hear the rain hitting my window and see it falling gently from the sky.
When it rains everything seems more colorful and alive. I can hear the soft sound of the tires passing through the water on the street below our apartment. I can hear thunder. It is a rumbling sound like an upset cat disturbed from it’s nap. The sky isn’t really dark only just a little overcast. The rain is picking up.
I will stop now and take Sweet Bear to the window to watch the rain as I did with my parents as a girl. I have fond memories of sitting on a porch with my parents and brother surrounded by a storm.
I will leave you with this thought. Over this weekend stop to see the beauty in life. Watch the rain drops hitting a puddle, listen to the birds singing or enjoy the feel of the warm sun on your face.
Life is precious and beautiful. Enjoy every moment.

Beautiful photos and post….we had sunshine today..it’s now 9pm and getting dark and my boys are still outside riding their bikes…I can hear their shrieks and squeals and happy sounds as I type (windows wide open)….I love this time of year.

Sleeping in one’s own bed is nice, but I am determined to make it back to France sooner, rather than later!

I didn’t know flickr was blocked. Hmmm. I have been wanting to switch to another service because I found out they are owned by yahoo. However, I haven’t found one where I can mark some pics as private while letting others be seen.But, those would be blocked most likely as well. Pictures can take bandwidth so my husband doesn’t allow me to upload them directly to my blog. :(
