I spy…

I spy with my little eye something that is…YELLOW!

I spy with my little eye something that is PINK!

I spy with my little eye something that is GREEN!

These are images that I took during a night time walk. It has been so hot in Strasbourg the last few days that we have been staying indoors with the shutters cracked and the windows open. We are only brave enough to venture outside once the sun is on it’s way down.

I love to play I spy, a guessing game, with my children as much as I loved to play it with my parents as a child. We play it often. Usually, we play the color version of the game instead of the letter version because of my youngest children. They are too little to know how to spell. And, it is a great way to teach colors.

All children love to play games. I know that some of my best memories of childhood are of playing various games with my family and friends.

What about you…what games did you like to play when you were little or what are some of the games you play with your children that you played with your parents as a child?

This is a very clever idea for a post. I enjoyed it.

When I was a kid I used to play spotlight. It’s a tag game using a flashlight to “catch” the other one who tries hiding behind trees and houses.

Thank you for playing along with me. Now that you mention it I do remember playing that too as a kid. I had totally forgotten all about it until now. Thanks for helping to bring back some forgotten memories. :)
