I love taking pictures.
I regret that after we moved out of my mother’s house that I couldn’t take more pictures of our life in America. The cable for uploading picures from our digital camera was left in France. We were using my mother’s camera until we moved in with my father which was only two months after we arrived in the U.S. So, we had almost four months of the children growing and of the places we visited that are stored away only in our memories.
Our memories fade.
This is why I love my camera.
I love the pix. Beautiful kids (of course!) and Strasbourg is amazing! We’ve been there once for my girls’ passports at the US Consulate (which you are certainly familiar with I’m guessing). I immediately loved the city.
Hope you are all adjusting well. Travelling with 3 little ones is not easy I know firsthand!. On the french side the jet-lag always seems to be a little more intense.
Your journey these past several months has been a real eye-opener for me. It’s helped me to realize all that I have here in France that I take for granted sometimes. Even though I miss the US and my family, what we have here is wonderful too. The grass is not really always greener on the other side as you demonstrated.
I’m sure living in (or near?) Strasbourg you will find opportunities for you to teach. Give it some time, I’m sure it’ll come. Good luck!
