Indian Summer

It was uncommonly warm this past summer in the Jura.  This autumn is no different.  Today, we went to the village festival and it was so warm most were in tee-shirts while all the other years were freezing cold.

I am tired from baking until midnight for the one day a week daycare in our village.  It is a great way to get kids ready to go to school.  Most of the mothers in the village baked something to give to the daycare to sell during the village festival in order to raise some money to help run it.  I was more than happy to help since my son has started going again this year and I can see a big difference in him.

He is so shy that he still will hide behind me when one of the mothers that has known us for THREE years tell him bonjour!

I really hope all of you are having a great weekend and enjoying warm days with family and friends.flower

I think that is such a great idea as well. It has unseasonably warm here as well. I think there is an el nino going on once again which can make weather patterns different. It’s a bit scary with the Olympics coming out here. I’m hoping it will be normal for the sake of that at least…

Love the photos and I am of course bad as ever at posting lately.
