I walked right past this without seeing it. Remember my dog doodoo radar is tuned for doodoo on the sidewalk laying in wait of my feet. This was clearly out of my radar. But, not that of an over curious four year old.
Sweet Bear stopped and exclaimed, “Mais pourquoi le chien a fait caca là? Et, comment le chien a fait ça?” (But why did the dog doodoo there? And, how did the dog do it?)
She wasn’t the only one confounded by this dog’s abilities. An elderly couple stood next to her discussing the exact same topic.
Vilay and I laughed. Of course, the dog did his business when the barricade for cars was down in the ground. However, a four year old and an elderly couple were held in the grips of this dog’s magical performance for at least two minutes!

I see stuff like that around my town on posts that do not go up and down….my only guess is that it’s the bums doing it.

We have those “bornes” all around us because we live in a pedestrian zone. The kids are fascinated to watch them go up and down like magic. But we have never see one decorated.
