We spent a hot day in Neuchâtel. It was a perfect day in every way.
Boats were on the water and people were cooling off in it.
The lake was blue like a painting.
It was quiet by the lake but I know this weekend it will be so crowded that it will be impossible to walk. Fireworks are set off on the lake for August 1st, Swiss National Day.
Vilay took this photo.
The Castle of Neuchâtel is in the back of this photo.
It looked so cool and peaceful at this restaurant’s terrace.
These ducks were chasing each other in a circle.
I love that in Europe you get a tiny spoon to eat your ice cream with.
One day, I would like to eat dinner with my husband by the lake for my birthday.
The day was relaxing in spite of the heat.
The swans stayed close together as one big family. It was so sweet.
Here the mother and father swim one at each end.
I would like to take a cruise on Lake Neuchâtel again.
The big boat sounded off its horn over and over as it cruised by a little too close to the smaller boats.
Two baby ducks with their mama.
The baby ducks were so tiny but they had no problem swimming even with waves coming in from the boats passing by.
