Saturday, we took a walk from Le Creux-des-Biches to Les Bois. It was one of the most beautiful walks we have taken yet. There wasn’t a lot of hill climbing but the views were impressive. As usual, I had the feeling I was walking on top of the world.
The Restaurant des Chatons (Kitten Restaurant) was named well. There were several kittens rooming around and one was particularly friendly.
This kitten was so sweet I wanted to grab it up and take it home.
My four year old picked a daisy for me.
I liked the contrast between the golden brown wheat and the green grass.
The sky was clear and we could see very far away.
Believe me when I tell you the image above was even better in real life. We had walked from the house in the back.
A tractor mowing while the cows are mowing. :) If you look in the top right hand corner you can see at least two birds flying over the mountain. There are always large birds flying overhead.
The sign warns to be careful around mothers that are nursing their calves. The mothers are very protective.
I am extra careful to keep a safe distance between the cows. I keep my children close to me when we have to walk through areas that the cows are not separated from us with a fence. I am always on guard even if a cow has never shown aggression towards us. Better safe than sorry where a cow is concerned.
I love the trees dotting the skyline.
This picture reminds me of Little House on the Prairie.
Over that hill is Les Bois. We are almost there!
Horse in Les Bois.
The Jura is known to be Switzerland’s horse country.
This horse is a Franches-Montagnes horse found only in the Jura. He was standing strong and handsome to impress some other horses passing by.
My son eating a snack at a small park in Les Bois. There were horses grazing only a few feet away from us.

As usual, your pictures are beautiful!
Beautiful! You have a great eye. I especially like the one of the cat.
That kitten is so adorable! What a great tour.
I loved the pictures. The hills and flowers are so beautiful. The countr side is breathtaking. I love your pictures of the farm animals and how you can just walk in the fields with them. In America you can’t just walk on peoples land without permission. I think it is nice of people to let you walk on their land.
Love you all, Mom.
I really want a kitten and that little cutie didn’t help!!! :)
I like the first landscape picture (that is the fourth picture in the post). It’s very well composed.
Thank you. I love that photo because there is something about it that calms me. I love living in the Jura because of the beauty here.
