This is my favorite photo out of all the photos that I took that day.
All of the modern signs were covered up so that the illusion of walking around in the medieval days was preserved.
My girls finally got their princess hats!
Washing clothes in the village fountain.
A medieval board game.
This man was making fire.
This pottery maker was explaining his craft to a small group of young knights.
I love this photo Vilay took of a basket weaver.
This woman was making one of the musical instruments like in the photo below.
I am going to have this photo of Vilay’s printed so that we can hang it in our home.
Candles hanging after being dipped in hot candle wax.
A steaming pot of candle wax.
Finished candles for sale.
I got pulled up onto the stage to dance. It was fun and humilating at the same time. ;)
The man in the right-hand bottom corner is the one responsible for my being on stage. He wouldn’t take my no’s for an answer. He sternly told me to get on the stage!!! The girl (in the photo with me) and I would just look at each other and laugh. It was fun.
My six year old drinking the freshest milk you can have…Straight from the cow!
The farmer in the photo would milk the cow squirting the milk into a plastic cup. He would, then, offer it to the people in the crowd. Most politely declined. Vilay was handed a cup by a woman who basically dared him to try it. He did. And, he liked it. Afterwards, our six year old daughter had to try it too. She finished off the glass in no time and even demanded another!
Milking the cow…better view.
The look on this little blonde girl’s face was pure delight after she knocked over a pin with her medieval bowling ball.
