Life is in the making of moments that you cherish

Instead of sitting in front of the computer or television…

Make a flower cake with your children.

Eat it slowly over warm tea and with a side of lively conversation.

It was pretty darn good!

Enjoy the cake with all your senses while you note how intelligent and sweet your children are.

Take a walk even if the sun is about to slip behind the horizon and your children should be in bed soon.

Night walk

Breath in the fresh air and be thankful for the beauty all around you.

Night walk

Let the softness of the sky touch you.

Night walk

Be impressed by the contrast of dark trees against the swirls of light left in the sky.

Stop to watch the birds circle the watch tower of the village church.

Make the moments in your life worth cherishing by taking the time to live it.  Those moments are slices of happiness that you serve yourself.

This is lovely, I know how beautiful it is, makes me homesick
    did you receive the books?

I got the books. That was so sweet of you to send them to me. I plan on sneaking in a few hours to read without the kids while Vilay watchs them. It has been too long since I have gotten lost in a book.

I was homesick when we were on vacation this summer. I was happy to see Switzerland and the cows dotting the Jura mountains.
