Long weekend in Alsace, France

We decided to go to Strasbourg for the weekend. It was a last minute discision. I had only three hours to get the apartment in order and pack. It was nice to see France again and spend time with family.

Photos below are of my Inlaws village.
Photos from last summer of their village are here.

Those are some beautiful photos! Does the horse wear that to help with the bugs? And I adore your shot 015 of the house with two windows… Beautiful!!! I’ve heard about the long weekend, we had ours last weekend.. :)

    Unbalanced reaction,
We did! It was a great weekend away.

    Parlezvouskiwi,
Alsace is so beautiful and full of flowers. You have to see it if you haven’t already. Go when flowers are in bloom.

    Expatraveler,
I think the horse has it on to keep the flies out of its eyes. I love that old house. It is so colorful.

    Anne,
You have to visit Strasbourg! And, when you do you must go to Colmar. Alsace is magical and reminds me of a storybook. I was so lucky to have lived there for almost three years. My son was born in Strasbourg.

    Hexe,
The Ecole in the picture was my husband’s. It was his elementary school. I can’t believe how beautiful it is compared to the schools I went to.
