New blog title

I have changed the title of my blog because From my French window doesn’t fit so well now. Madame Citrouille (Mrs.  Pumpkin) is a perfect fit because it is my French name and was given to me by a special reader, Roland. Thank you, Roland, for all your thoughful comments and every time you called me Madame Citrouille I smiled. I loved it!

The other reason Madame Citrouille fits is the fact that I picked Pumpkin Pie due to my being homesick for America while living in France. Now that I am in America I am homesick for France. Go figure.

It is fitting that in the month of the pumpkins…October, that I make this change. Fall really is my favorite time of the year. I have taken several pictures the past few weeks of the leaves beginning to change and will continue to take more until the leaves have all fallen. Ohio is beautiful during this time of the year.

If you would like to see all my fall photos on Flickr just click here or the slideshow here.

Madame Citrouille! I absolutely love your new blog title and this name sounds gorgeous! Funny enough I miss France too. Lovely change good for you enjoy the autumn…

J’aime aussi le nouveau titre du blog, Madame Citrouille…Very fitting!

I thought of you today, when I purchased two mini pumpkins at the fruit stand in s’Gravenhage to dress up my dining room table. The Dutch love cooking with pumpkin :-) and at this season they are so plentiful. It’s just too bad that they do not celebrate Halloween like the French do. :-(

Fall is my favorite time of the year, too. Just looking at your pics makes me homesick…

    Chère madame Citrouille
I’m proud you choosed you new name from one of my stupid jokes!
Now you have a name let’s try a new nickname.
In fact you familly have a special feeling with vegetables( you husband fall in love with the “pain à la courgette” of the Valley farm)….some king of strange addiction to the “cucurbitacée”?
So by now ,if everyone can call you Madame Citrouille I will call you “la famille Cucurbitacée “( isn’t french a glamorours language??)
New name , new life….but always the same good blog!
J’espère que la vieille citrouille que vous avez ramené de Floride se transformera en carrosse.

Ps: Please don’t be too cruel with your french expat….if you have to tatoo a map on any part of his body please don’t choose USA’s map. What about Monaco or Vatican?
If he is really a naugthy boy you can go up to Luxembourg…but anyway not as big as Switzerland!

Anyway the both will fit for your Hallowen party.

The new title is lovely. :) I adore looking through all the pictures. I hope that you have a good day today. Thinking of you!!

Thanks everyone! I have been spending a wonderful weekend with my family. I hope all of you are having a great weekend as well.

Peepfrench, We have our two pumpkins sitting in front of my mother’s house. The children adore them. I can’t wait for Halloween to come and to walk with my kids begging for treats. I love Fall.

Roland, I love the new nickname! If my other half is bad I will threaten to tatoo Russia on him but in truth will only end up laughing at him for getting us lost again. :) However, he will tell you he meant to get lost or that he was never lost to begin with. ;)

    Madame Citrouille… I love it!

  • lapagefrancaise October 10, 2006, 6:03 pm

Madame Citrouille is a perfect new name for you! And you are right, October is the perfect time to change your name to Madame Citrouille

  • Pumpkin October 11, 2006, 2:07 am

I am happy with the name and the image that I made is fitting as well. I downloaded GIMP (an open source alternative to photoshop) which is free…since we have limited funds at the moment. It is perfect for what I need and it being free works great for me! Now, I can make new headers again from the photos that I take with our digital camera until I find the one that is a keeper.

I enjoyed your slideshow. I recognized several of the photos since I live near Lebanon, Ohio. Good luck on your new life in America.
