Our quiet weekend in photos

by Pumpkin on November 17, 2008

Our weekend was quiet.

Yesterday, we managed to go to Bern to see the Christmas windows which was fun. I will try to get those photos up tomorrow.

There is some construction going on in a couple parts of our village.  Here the workers have placed temporary islands to slow down traffic.  I thought it was very practical and well done.

Just some things I have noticed about work done in Switzerland:

Workers ALWAYS take off their shoes before entering your home.

Workers will clean up all debris after they have finished their work which includes sweeping.  The work area is left spotless.

Work is done well and the work area is neat and organized.  Even piles of dirt are arranged in neat mounds.

Workers always wear bright orange jumpers when doing work outside.  You can’t miss them unless you are blind.

Expatraveler,

I love that photo especially since my six year old has her arms held out like she is flying. :)
