To Germany we would go on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
The hope of Spring still lingers under the snow.
A real German castle. The towers had been rebuilt but the rest of the walls seemed original.
I had never ever in my life seen a black swan. I can’t say I even knew black swans existed. Black swans do exist and I had the pleasure of meeting some yesterday in Germany.
I love the wood craftmanship found all throughout Germany.
This building looks like many found in and around Strasbourg built by the Germans while Alsace was part of Germany. Don’t ever say that they speak German in Alsace! It is a sensitive subject. The regional language spoken in Alsace is Alsatian which can be somewhat understood by a German speaker. It is not German.
Read the words…Sparkasse. Just a little humorous, no???
You will find one of these on just about every street. We saw one in the middle of a residential area with only houses and apartments around. Smokers living in or visiting Germany have found a smokers heaven. I love visiting Germany. I just wish that non-smokers were as well thought of.
