For the love of photography!

My oldest daughter and I have created a photo blog to share our two perspectives on one subject.  It is a mother-daughter photo project inspired by how we say hello.  Our first post is Autumn.

The name of our photo blog is Our Heart String – tied with love. This blog is a way for us to bond even if there is an ocean between us.

We hope you come to visit every Monday when we post a new pair of photos to share.

I think that is such a super idea…love the photographs, especially the “Mushroom Stump” .

Will have a look at your new photo blog.

Unfortunately I don’t have a daughter or a sister, and no-one in the family really takes much notice of my blog. My husband does now and again, but as he is away most of the year, it is harder for him.

My brother seems interested but questions the concept of a blog, why do it? How do people find you? What is the point, so I really don’t talk about it much.

I didn’t tell anyone the first few months of blogging but after that I let it slip out because I wanted to share my travels and photos with my family. Now, my mother tells her co-workers, my ex-husband and his wife found my blog, there are some old friends and neighbors that read it and some new friends and I hope no neighbors!!! :) I try to write with the idea in the back of my mind that ANYONE can read this blog and I have to keep my venting in check.

Blogging isn’t easy for people to understand even if most companies now have one and many news organizations are moving more into blogging. I think my kids will look at it as a part of life because it is really popular with the younger generation.

Thanks Pumpkin…When I say I don’t talk about it…I do, but not alot with my family…I don’t think my brother has looked at it without a huge push from me, and my mother has certainly not…

I have lots of friends that look at it, and are interested, and I have made what I would call “friends” who regularly comment and visit.

I had a lovely email from a lady I met when I went to Belgium, who photos didn’t all work out, I had given her my blog address, she said that it was all so professional, and could she have copies of my photos…that is what matters and counts I think.

I love the blog with your daughter! I know you wish she could be with you right now, but what a good way to share your life!!

I wish I could post photos more but I have this stupid blogger account I am tied to.

At least I can always come to your “house” and look at yours. :)

What a wonderful idea! I’m so glad for you and your daughter!

I agree with you. It is about making connections and touching others.

I am so happy to be doing this with her and sad I didn’t think about it sooner. It is a way for us to show love for each other by doing something together. It is so much fun!

Thank you Julie. I can’t wait to see what we come up with next. I love the fact that we don’t even know what the other one is doing until it is time to post.

    Caffienated Cowgirl,
I think since it is a project between only she and I it is really special to her…and me. It is so much fun to see what we come up with together.
