Saint Nicholas visited my children

Saint Nicholas visited today. He came with his donkey laden with baskets full of treats (bags full of peanuts, candies, chocolate and clementines). My children ran ahead to greet him. Vilay (camera in hand) caught up with them soon after.

My children were very happy, indeed.

Now that looks amazing, the tradition and times. Look at all of that snow too! Kids are growing up so fast.

It is snowing right now. The kids are really happy. I hope it doesn’t rain Monday like the weather forecast predicts.

    Your kids are just beautiful.

Thank you, Alison. :D They really are good kids, too.

You and Vilay have the most beautiful children! What a wonderful tradition. Your blog makes me long to pack it all up and become your neighbor. What was in the goody bags?

The bags were full of peanuts, candies, chocolate and a clementine. The kids were still talking about the donkey today.

We have a beautiful life here. I don’t really have much to complain about. :D

Why is Saint Nicolas dressed up like Santa?

    • Pumpkin December 6, 2010, 1:33 pm

Vilay and I wondered the same thing.

In my opinion, St. Nick found a sale on some new duds.

I think his original dress is nicer but the kids could care less. Perhaps they are right…It is best not to look a gift horse (or donkey) in the mouth. lol

How cool, he came with a donkey!
We met ours at kindergarten and we sang songs and he handed out stockings for the kids filled with goodies. It was quite nice.

Not quite an original comment, but I was going to say “your kids are beautiful!”, which I confirm.
