Snow, snow everywhere…

(If you haven’t entered the giveaway yet make sure that you do before Monday!!!)

Yesterday, it started out all grey with rain, rain and more rain.  Later on some blue sky burst through the grey.  It lifted my spirits.

The start of all the snow

Soon after the rain mixed with snow and later the snow took over.

It is STILL snowing :)

It has snowed since late afternoon yesterday.

The photo above was taken from my bedroom window this morning.  My girls woke and went out to play after they ate a light breakfast.  I called them in after an hour for homemade biscuits and white gravy.  It was the perfect brunch in the face of so much snow.

Oh, and it is STILL snowing.  It may not stop for a week!

Here are our winter boots at the end of the day.  Notice that all the kids have plastic winter boots.  It is the only way to keep their feet dry because even Gore-Tex doesn’t stand up against all the wet snow we get in the Jura!

My mother sent me money to buy some new boots since the ones I had last year didn’t make it to this year.  I wore my new boots right out of the store because of the amount of snow we have.

Thank you, Mom.  You don’t know how much I appreciate my new boots.  I love you.

Your new boots are soooo cute! I love them, in fact they caught my eye first (I always scan your photos quickly before going back and reading…) Yeah! And I don’t blame you for the boots, they work better in the end.

We bought some boots yesterday too!
I found a sport store in Po. and I paid 29.90 for Tristan’s, 19.90 for Matthieu’s and 14.90 for Eva’s, I thought it was a good deal and for once, not to pricey for Switzerland. I bought plastic one for Eva but not for the boys (the boys’ shoes look like Vilay’s).
Why don’t you shop in Del. or Po.? I think it is about the same distance as la Chaux de Fond with less snow and cuter streets.

It is much warmer with the snow and it is incredibly beautiful. I hate when it is freezing cold but no pretty snow.

We are going to take a walk around the village today. It did stop snowing finally over night and now we have sun, blue skies and snow. :)

We found our kids on sale a few weeks ago in Neuchâtel. We paid about the same price but learned from last year that it is better to buy plastic snow boots where we live. We get so much snow it is impossible….and, of course we can’t keep the kids out of it! :) I love Po. and Del. but Vilay doesn’t like Del. much and thinks that Po. is too far. It is further to go to Po. than La Chaux but you are right that it is so much nicer there than La Chaux.
