I know how hard it is to live in limbo. SwissGuy, I am from around the Dayton area which is located in the South West region of Ohio. I have driven through the Appalachian Mountains. It was just after a snow storm and they were beautiful. No fun to drive through but beautiful. I think the weather here in the Jura is close to what we get in Ohio. Ohio can get a lot of snow but it only lasts a month and then it is gone. However, it is as cold in Ohio as here..actually, it feels colder there because of the wind and dry air. I think that is why I didn't like winter there too much. I have lived in Kentucky when I was a teenager. I really liked living in the mountains even then. I still miss France, but it looks like we are staying in Switzerland for several reasons. Our family is doing better financially here than we have done anywhere else. On top of that, it is beautiful and we have outdoor things to do with the kids all year long. The Swiss schools are wonderful. That is one of the biggest reasons we want to stay.
