Sometimes, a picture can say it best

I found this meme over at Artist by nature. I thought it might be fun and it was!

The rules:

1. Choose a search engine (like Google Images) and click on “Images”
2. Choose 5 (or more) random blogfriends (or not random, your choice)
3. Think of a word that you feel best describes your blogfriend
4. Do an IMAGE SEARCH on that word
5. Pick the image that best fits your pal & post it.

Just a few of the people I visit almost daily:

1. Wendy is zen.
2. Peepfrench is motherly (link is to her son’s blog).
3. Pauline is very creative.
4. Christina is inspiratonal.
5. Samantha is a leader.
6. Alison is witty.

You wanna play, too? Drop me a note in comments and I will add you to the bottom of this post. :)

Hey Pumpkin Pie – this was a really neat idea. I really enjoyed going through all the pictures. :)

    Here is yours…fun

  • Wendy March 14, 2006, 8:26 pm

I find it interesting that you think of Zen in regards to me…other people have also made similar comments and I wonder what is it about my blog that gives that image of me…I AM a quiet person and calm too (most of the time) but I didn’t realise it was reflected in my blog. I loved that photo – I looked at it for ages…thank you!

Wendy, You are welcome. It does come across on your blog. I think more does than we realize. You always seem so calm and sound…thoughtful and wise. And, fair even when I am sure others wouldn’t be…dealing with an ex. When I visit your blog I always feel better…I think I told you that once before. It is comfy and it feels like I am sitting listening to a bunch of chatty friends.

    Pumpkin, what a cool idea!

And I loved my word and photo. :)

I feel honored that you describe me as “motherly”…and the photo that you chose for me is so adorable that it brought tears to my eyes when I saw it…

I love your creativity, Pumpkin. You always find interesting things to write about…

Creative – I think this is true of me and I do so love the photo, thankyou.I would have prefered “sexy rock and roll godess” – but I guess you can’t have everything :)

  • Pumpkin Pie March 15, 2006, 10:54 am

I am glad you all liked it. :)
Pauline, I was going to do that but thought everyone would just get jealous. We are all naturally jealous of sexy rock and roll godesses! ;)
BTW, I just tried to find a picture for you with that and let me just say the results are very interesting.

I feel honored that I made the list, even if it was through random choice! And I too am suprised by your choice of word for me – in the US, it was true, but as a foreigner in France, I tend to feel much more like a follower, just trying to fit in as well as I can.

  • Pumpkin Pie March 15, 2006, 11:58 am

You are not a follower even in France. I remember when I first started reading your blog you had a post on how you had to call to set up your phone and you did not speaking French well at the time. I laughed while I read that and told my husband that you were my new hero. You went each day by bus, by yourself, to take your French classes and after two years you are bilingual. The tone of your blog reflects your leadership. Heck, you are on just about everyone’s sidebar. It is not hard to figure out why looking at the posts you write and your honesty.

BTW, I didn’t choose my people randomly. Randomly, would have been easier. It was hard to pick only five and so I added one more.

The order I added the blogs in from 1-6 is random.

I have wrote about other blogs and bloggers I like in past posts. Plus, I wanted to pick my favorite bloggers that may offer another view of life in France or another country or in Alisons case…readjusting to a country left behind and found again. Besides, all you guys are great! :)

All the blogs I link to are little treasures in bloggie world.

How interesting. I loved the images you chose. I haven’t been reading all these blogs for very long so I think I’d have a hard time pinning down some of them but I think I agree about what you said about Wendy and Samantha. Zen and Leader!
