Oh my goodness! I’m so glad to have found your blog!
My husband and I will be traveling to Geneva this summer (July) for a conference he is attending… and we’re trying to decide what we’ll do!

Yeah!!! Well the surrounding areas can also pull you in. I know Geneva isn’t as friendly of an area as Lausanne, and I would agree that there must be much more life on a Saturday. I guess it’s all a matter of perspective! Yup, that can say lots, even in a job interview. ;-)

You know I have been thinking about it and I think it is because we visited on a Sunday. Sundays tend to be more quiet in some cities and not so quiet in others (like Lausanne). There are lots of shops in Geneva and I think it would be nice to go back again in the summer on a Saturday. Then, I will be able to feel the city more. I would be lying if I didn’t admit that I have been recently searching for jobs in Geneva because of my banking background. I am sure I would be happy to live there even if I, too, like Lausanne better. Plus, Geneva is surrounded by France which is a big plus for me since I still miss France so very much. :)

I’m wondering more on why you have this impression. Very curious to know.. Cold? How about just different! I remember it being very breezy the first trip I took there in Jan 2002. Hmm – the photos are beautiful and the blue colors of the buildings ring in smiles, and pleasure… While I can agree that I love Lausanne so much more, still Geneva can be an exciting place to explore.. You just need the time…
