We went to Bern today because the Federal Palace of Switzerland was open to the public in celebration of Swiss National Day. All those that went to the Federal Palace were able to walk pretty much wherever they wanted inside the building. I couldn’t believe it.
It was an awesome day. We arrived home around 6 p.m. sweaty and tired. It was a hot day at 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit).
I have pictures to share but it will have to wait until Monday.
We are catching the train early tomorrow morning to go to the Alps!
I am so excited.
We will spend an entire day visiting part of the Alps by train and foot.
It will be a long day and I am sure we will come home late.
If it isn’t too late when we get back Sunday night I will try to get a few pictures up for you to see.
Otherwise, I wish you all a great weekend!!!
Vilay took this photo of the sunrise from our bedroom window this morning.

What an incredible weekend for you. I love the morning view and yet still I am so interested in going back to live in Switzerland (like when am I not!)…
I can’t wait to hear about all of your stories! :) Makes me smile. I’ll be up at the crack of dawn too out photographing the triathlon that I cannot participate in because of my bad knees.. There’s a positive side to everything right?
How fun…can’t wait to see photos from the Alps!
I am sorry to hear that your knees are keeping you out of the trianthon. But, at least you can photograph it all!
