Sweet surprises

Life is full of surprises.
Luckily, there are more that are sweet than not.

A huge rain cloud hung over a section of the sky.

Our village is surrounded by fields of dandelions.

During our walk we had a light rain. Afterwards, a rainbow formed in the sky.

In Switzerland, there are cows at the end of rainbows. [...]

Swiss cow bells

Before I lived in Switzerland, I imagined it filled with the sound of cow bells.
The reality isn’t far from this image.
However, it isn’t only cows that wear these bells. I have seen horses wear them as well.
Enjoy the sound of life in Switzerland!

Swiss that move here from other areas of Switzerland (even the French speaking parts) are treated like foreigners.
Here. In our village, I have no friends. [...]

Catwalk

Saturday, we went to Bienne to enjoy a warm day in the city.
We walked quite a lot and ended up in a Nidau, a neighboring city that touches Bienne. While we were enjoying the birds singing in an otherwise quiet residential area, I saw about thirty wooden planks (like [...]

Our first Easter in Switzerland

Sweet Bear made this chick at school out of paper plates. The neck is a red sock with a hole cut out for her thumb. It is adorable!

She, also, made this Easter basket. The kids left the baskets out the day before for the Easter Bunny. The next day of school, [...]

Interlaken

Saturday, we found ourselves in Interlaken. It was a sunny Spring like day filled with the beauty of the Alps.
Below, is a photo of a wooden bear holding an edelweiss flower.

Do you see the cow sticking out of the corner of the building?

Interlaken was busy with people out and about. The traditional Alpine [...]
