The girls can’t wait

Sweet Bear and Petite Clown are happy to return to France.  Why?  They can’t wait to go to Ecole Maternelle.  Sweet Bear wasn’t thrilled about the fact that in America she wouldn’t be able to start school until fall of 2008 due to her having a late October birthday.

She adored going to school in France.

I asked Sweet Bear to tell Petite Clown what she did at school.  Sweet Bear told Petite Clown, “You sing, read stories, color and you EAT!”

It seems that eating was the highlight of the day.

Ah, yes! Food is the most important part of any school day. This is especially true when treats are brought in for a party. Then there is recess or free play time. Learning? “I can’t remember what we did today.” :-)

    Hi Pumpkin !

On the way … the wheel turns … la France, bientôt

In his experience, Amerloque knows of no French public school that allows treats to be brought in for a party … is Pumpkin talking about Sweet Bear’s usual daily gouter ? …

Yes, it is “le gouter” in the case of Sweet Bear. She adored sitting at the table with the other children eating together. For two days, all she talks about is “la maternelle” with her little sister. Both of the girls will go once we return to France. It will the first time for Petite Clown so her big sister is giving her all the details.

I am very happy the wheel is turning towards France. :)
