Our mountains are blooming with Spring.
We are taking nightly walks as we did before the snow. The children run in the fields along the road and search for hidden treasures in nature while Vilay and I talk about how much we love it here.
Here are some of my favorite photos I took:
The train as it passed by. It is a contrast of bright red against the deep greens and browns of the mountain earth.
The sky was incredible and completely different depending on which direction you looked.
In the Jura, there are smooth holes in the ground where the earth has eroded. These mountains are young and that is why they are still relatively flat. I often have the impression to be in the plain instead of the mountains until I look at how close I am to the sky.
The village we like to walk to. We make a tour and then return home. Usually, there are some horses in the fields inside the village but last night the horses were already inside the barns. See how the sky is different in this photo?
Now, look at the sky in this one. It is all the same sky but different parts of it. I love the sky here because it is vast and interesting.
The photo below is a typical image of the Jura. It is easy to see why we have so many vacationers coming to walk here.
Below is my favorite photo. See the tiny spring buds on the bush? How many snails can you find?
This is where all the cool snails hang out.
Hanging on…the story of my life. :)
Crossing a road can be a dangerous thing to do especially if you are a slug.
