The Pagan wall (Le mur païen)- Vosges

The iron age pagan wall was built around 4000 BC. However, there is no real way to know how or when this wall was really built.

You can still run your fingers inside the fittings for the wood used to hold the wall together. The wood is long gone but the space for the fittings are left behind.

Your photos are gorgeous! They have made me even more excited for our visit to France! We are visiting family in Paris but then my husband and I have five days and we wanted to get out in the woods and mountains. Your pictures make the Vosges look like a perfect choice!

The Vosges are beautiful. I love looking out over the plain of Alsace and seeing all the villages spread out before me. The villages are just charming all around the Vosges. You will have a great time.

I wish I could visit Paris again. It’s been six years since I have really seen Paris. We were just on the outskirts last year and only to the airport to get my oldest daughter the year before.

Yes, your photos are fantastic. I was never in France, and probably never will be but this what you show us is so beautiful…
