The good thing about an intense summer rain shower, is that usually cooler temps are ushered in! When I look back now, I almost kill myself for not doing enough of that! Your photos are beautiful and the adventure sounds amazing.. To top it off, I almost moved to that area! Yes It's a great spot to start your adventures in the Alps. Sion is definitely not a tourist town and I think it is nice when people visit! I only visited the town once myself and did not take any photos. When I look back now, I almost kill myself for not doing enough of that! Your photos are beautiful and the adventure sounds amazing..
