Today

I am taking the kids to the village doctor to get them all checked out after this round with a nasty bug. Yesterday, I made the appointment in between loads of laundry.

The doctor’s office is on the second floor of a house with apartments on the entry floor. There is an elevator to go up and I was surprised to find it went right up into a huge and modern waiting room. It was kinda cool. I expected it to go up into a small hallway like I had left on the first floor. I made the appointment and went back home in time to pull out a load of laundry and throw another in.

I am taking a few days off from blogging.

My mother called at five this morning. When I get a call at that hour I know it isn’t good. She told me that my grandfather had died.

It is hard being in another country when you lose someone that close to you. So, I am not feeling up to blogging right now.

Today, I just want to remember my grandfather and keep my family near me in my thoughts.
