On my Permit B it is stated that I must declare when I begin working so I checked with the commune in our village who refered me to someone else.

I am legally able to work. However, it must be announced to someone somewhere. :)

It has nothing to do with having French children…only my French husband counts in regard to my being able to live and work in Switzerland.

It is stated like this on my Permit B.

“La prise d’une activité lucrative doit étre annoncée.”

I don’t mean to pry, but I don’t understand..you are married to a Frenchman and have French children..yet you don’t have the right to work?

I recently took a photo of the view I have from under ‘my tree’ where I like to sit when my kids are outside playing. It is like a painting there no matter what the weather is. We have the same view from our bedrooms in our apartment. People pay hotels to have a view like ours.

I just started having them this past month with the past two weeks being the hardest. It is a lot of little things that will pass. Mostly, it is just a feeling of not belonging.

However, I understand that the longer I stay here I will feel more a part of it all. In France, it was easier since my husband and children are French. Here we are all expats.

I think it’s absolutely insane you have to do laundry all in one day. Having said that, we only do laundry on one day also.. LOL We do this also because it’s too crowded at any other time and we know we can do laundry just then.

I’ve taught English and feel the same way, it is a pleasure.
