Two years of blogging

I forgot all about my blog anniversary on September 14th. I started this blog in 2005 not really thinking about what it would become. It has grown a little since then ;) and I have fabulous readers from around the world.

I grabbed the Blogoversary badge above from blogoversary.com. It is a great idea to remind yourself of your blog’s birthday. I know I have a problem remembering to remember mine.

Since my blog is such a big part of my life it is only fair that I should think about it’s creation each year and why I keep plugging away with blogging. Right?

I really don’t have a good answer. All I can say is that I honestly enjoy blogging and reading others blogs. It is fun.

Some of you stayed with me through a really bad time in my life. This seems like a good time to thank you all again for your support. I did lose some readers because of my honesty in expressing my feelings. However, I think that is what makes a blog a good read. I don’t read blogs that are happy (or sad) all the time. I read blogs written by honest bloggers who aren’t afraid to tell us about the good and the bad as they are feeling it at that moment.

I am not perfect. It is only natural that my blog will reflect this. I am human. Since my blog is bits and pieces of me written in a honest and human manner I would think that my blogs nitch is that it is honest and human.

It is a personal online diary of an American woman living in Switzerland with her French hubby and some kids. However, I would like to think that my blog is much more just as I am much more than that.

    Happy anniversary!

Coincidentally, Neil at Citizen of the Month has a post today entitled “Pumpkin Pie.” Coincidence? Maybe not :)

Isn’t it amazing how easy it is to communicate with people around the world with the flick of a mouse? Hopefully, all of this interaction will bring some understanding and peace among people…

Buzzgirl, That post was too funny and true. In the last month I have baked one pumpkin pie and three pumpkin breads! :)

    Fleur, Thank you!

Neil, Loved your pumpkin pie post! :) And, I too hope that this ease of connecting will bring understanding and hopefully peace. It has to be good that we have little windows into countries all over the world and no longer have to rely on the tv or radio only to know what is going on in the world. :)
