Yesterday, we took a chance against the gloomy clouds and made our way by train to walk around Les Bois. Les Bois offers impressive open views and many walking paths to choose from.
After walking around the village and letting the children play in the school playground, we went to the boulangerie in Les Bois for a café and croissant while the kids ate des cornets du glace (ice cream cones). Cafe La Semeuse is usually the coffee you are offered here. I had never heard of it before moving to the Jura.
My view as I took my coffee and enjoyed this quiet time with my husband and children.

We started our walk past cows comme d’habitude.
The farms are very beautiful and typical for the Jura.
Les Bois from not so far above. You can see the road we took up out of the village. It led to a farm with no outlet so we had to turn back taking a road to the left that isn’t visible in this photo.
I still love to see and hear cows with their bells on. It is a gentle reminder that I am living in Switzerland even if it is becoming more and more normal.
Vilay up ahead. We took the road to the right which leads to the golf course in Les Bois.

The 18 hole golf club in Les Bois.
My imitation Chucks that I found for fifteen Swiss francs.
Nets at the golf club to catch those fly away balls. The course is right against the main road going in and out of Les Bois. Another gentle reminder that I am living in Switzerland was the lime green Lamborghini that drove past us as we were about to cross the main road to go onto the other side and head back into Les Bois.

Flags of Les Bois, Franches-Montagnes and the Jura.
A decorated house with the typically Swiss painted shutters and door. Notice that only one side of the roof is decorated.
We love to walk around Les Bois and were happy that the weather allowed us to enjoy yet another day relaxing there.

what a beautiful walk! I love that you enjoy Switzerland together so much… I’m sure you will have so many lasting memories.
